Playa Lock Screen Maker

A free tool from Pack My Burn — no sign-up, nothing stored, your photo never leaves this page.

Nobody expects to lose their phone on playa — be ready anyway. Out there, there's no signal and Find My doesn't work. Your lock screen is the one thing that still talks for your phone: it tells whoever picks it up how to walk it back to you, and tells Lost & Found exactly who it belongs to. Two minutes now is the easiest way to get your phone back fast.

When setting it as your wallpaper, pinch out fully and skip Perspective Zoom — iPhones love to crop wallpapers in. The image is sized for modern iPhones so it should land exactly as previewed.

If it does go missing: don't panic — burners turn phones in constantly. Check Lost & Found at Playa Info, Center Camp (Esplanade & 5:45), open 9am–6pm — and check daily, because items land there all week. Found phones get charged up so the lock screen can speak for them, which is exactly why yours should. After the event, claims run through lnf.burningman.org.
Made for burners, by a burner. In 2024 I lost my phone in deep playa near the Temple — with my ID and a credit card attached. I got it back within 48 hours at Lost & Found for one reason: my lock screen said whose it was. Afterward it was frustrating how hard it was to find a tool that makes one easily, so I built the resource I wished I'd had — for every burner, so no phone stays lost. — Caroline
